Planning a beach wedding present unique challenges. First and foremost of course is the weather. Since mother nature is unpredictable, you should make sure to have contingency plans for the ceremony and reception in case of heavy rain or high winds. Also keep in mind the location of the sun when determining the time of the wedding, remembering that the position actually changes throughout the year. You don't want to have to wear sunglasses at your own ceremony! When it comes to beach favors, again you will want to think about the conditions. If you are having a wedding in Hawaii in the middle of summer, sunscreen lotion might be a perfect choice, whereas it might be too hot for chocolate bars that could melt.
