Christmas Wedding Favors You Can Make Yourself

Christmas is a magical time of the year so what better time to get married? Likely your family will be gathering during the holiday season anyway so take advantage of everyone’s proximity to one another and throw a fantastic Winter Wedding. Your wedding favors should reflect the seasonal color scheme of your wedding. Whether you choose red and green or silver and blue, homemade favors can be both easy to make and affordable. Here are some beautiful Christmas Wedding Favor ideas -

Floating Candle Favors – Your local craft store like Joanne Fabrics or Michael’s will carry seasonal floating candles in various shapes like poinsettias or ball ornaments. Pick up a candle for each of your guests and wrap it in cellophane so that guests can easily see the design. Then tie the cellophane with a gorgeous color-coordinated ribbon for a festive Christmas holiday presentation.

Christmas Ornaments – ‘Tis the season for Christmas trees so what better way to thank your guests than with a Christmas ornament. Ornaments can often be purchased in bulk for an affordable option or individually with prices varying greatly. Whatever you choose, try to have it coordinate with your color scheme. Consider cherub shaped ornaments or lovely glass balls that could be personalized with the bride & groom’s names and wedding date. Another idea is to use the ornaments as place cards set at each place setting so each one would need to be personalized with a guest’s name using a silver or gold paint pen.

Homemade Fudge – Christmas time is all about sweet and decadent holiday desserts so if you are good in the kitchen make some large batches of fudge. Then use a heart-shaped cookie cutter to cut-out pieces of fudge to share with each of your guests. Wrap the fudge in a cellophane bag and add a ribbon with a tag that says ‘Heart-Felt Thanks’.

Christmas Cookie Cutter Favors – Buy cookie cutters that are shaped like Christmas items such as angels, girl and boy gingerbread couples, snowmen, etc. Attach your favorite Christmas sugar cookie recipe and be sure to include the Bride & Groom’s names, the wedding date and a ‘Truly Cut Out For Each Other’ caption on the recipe card.

Personalized Hot Cocoa Favors – Either buy packets of hot cocoa or buy it in bulk and transfer it to glass jars. On each packet or jar, add a little hang tag that has the Bride & Groom’s name with a ‘The Perfect Mix’ caption below the names.
