Let’s start with the more simplistic approach, you love the cherry blossom theme but don’t want to make a big production of it at your reception. In this case you may want to decorate the tables with your chosen wedding colors – a chocolate and pink color scheme works particularly well with cherry blossom accents. The colors can be your main decorating vessel, with subtle cherry blossom centerpieces or simple sprays highlighting the tables. If you live in a locale where live cherry trees are available, consider asking a nursery if you can borrow some of the blooming trees for your reception décor. They may be willing to loan them out to you at no charge if you promise to mention their name in a thank you note attached to each tree. If it’s not the right time of year for real blooming trees, or you live in an area where this is not an option, visit your local craft store and design your own cherry blossom wreath to hang on the wall behind the head table.
