Personalized Gifts from the Bride and Groom

We’ve already touched on personalized gifts you can give your bridal party attendants, but what about the other important members of your wedding?  Your parents and grandparents, the reception host and hostess and the bride’s personal attendant all play a vital role in making your wedding memorable.  Whether it’s a hankie to dry their tears or a keepsake album that they can fill with memories, choosing a personalized gift for those that helped put your wedding together is just as important as choosing favors for your guests!

To celebrate loved ones who are unable to attend their wedding, many couples choose to light a personalized memorial candle during their ceremony.  The candle can then be given to a family member (for example, if the candle is in memory of your grandfather it would be appropriate to give it to your grandmother) or kept as a tribute to your lost or faraway loved one.  For mom or grandma, you may want to give them an embroidered hankie to dry their tears as you say “I do.”  To help dad remember this special day, you may want to give him an engraved pocketknife or money clip - something that he will use often and treasure always.

The bride’s personal attendant plays a very important role in wedding planning and executing.  From running to the store for last minute necessities to smoothing out any wrinkles in her train just before she walks down the aisle, the personal attendant’s job is to make sure all the little details are taken care of for the bride.  To thank her for her devotion and dedication to you, consider a personalized frame.  Add a favorite photo of the two of you and include a special note that shows how much you appreciate her assistance.  Another great idea for your personal attendant - although it is not personalized - is a spa gift certificate.  This allows her to be taken care of just as she took care of you!
