Decorating for your Black and White Wedding

Decorating for your black and white wedding may be a challenge but the end result will be stunning!  Using beautifully patterned material, you can cover event tables or hang drapery over drab venue walls.  Black and white patterns vary from traditional (plaid or damask) to trendy (checkerboard or stripes) to funky (zebra prints), so there’s a style out there for every couple!

Simple white tablecloths can be jazzed up with black place settings or black personalized wedding napkins.  Centerpieces can include a clear glass cylinder filled with black glass beads that surround a white candle.  Line black and white votives down the center of your reception tables and scatter mirrors (either large square mirrors or smaller  pieces) around the table to reflect the candlelight.  Bring an air of nostalgia to your wedding by adding framed black and white photos of couples in love - make the decorating more meaningful by displaying photos of your parents and grandparents.

Black and white ballons are a great way to add depth to your decorating, just be sure to place them high enough so they don’t interfere with guest conversations.  Drape your guest table with black and white linens, then set out our black and white damask guest book as pictured above.  Many couples work with a professional cake decorator to turn their cake into a reception centerpiece, so incorporate your black and white scheme with fancy scrollwork, alternating color tiers, even alternating chocolate and vanilla flavors inside!

Finish off your evening with the release of black and white balloons or confetti to signal the end of the dance.  Send guests home with black and white favors like our sweetheart scented soaps in a black and white gift box.
