Medieval Fairy Tale Wedding

When I think of a Medieval Wedding Theme, I think of the Renaissance Festival in our nearby town.  This fall there was a beautiful wedding held at the festival grounds, filled with jewel-toned dresses, golden candleabras and stunning pewter place settings.  The bridal party was dressed in Renaissance garb, complete with trumpeters heralding the bride's arrival on a beautiful white stallion.  The entire ceremony was quite a fairy tale, with colorful pennants surrounding the reception tent.

To recreate a Medieval Fairy Tale Wedding be sure to add deep, rich colors to your decorating scheme.  Stunning velvet drapery and authentic pewter place settings will help guests slip into the past.  Fall is a great time for Medieval Weddings, especially if you are planning an outdoor ceremony.  Use the blazing fall foliage to accentuate the colors you decorate with.

A unique wedding favor suggestion are these personalized coffee mugs.  The castle shown on the mug reminds me of a Medieval affair because of the pennants flying from each turret.  The design shown on this coffee mug is also available on wine glasses, champagne flutes, shot glasses or 16oz drink glasses.

When you think about renaissance, don't forget about the revival or rebirth if art, artworks! Funny ideas could be made but make sure that the essence of medieval period remains. Lordship, feudalism and Divine.
