One of the most important aspects of a chocolate and blue wedding is the bridesmaid dresses. Many vendors carry beautiful choices for this color scheme. If you are purchasing online (and even in a store), be sure to get color swatches prior to placing your final order. As you can see from the photos below, the variation in the blue color can be dramatic. Be especially careful when shopping online because all computer monitors display colors differently. I know from my own experience that the same blue dress displayed on my laptop computer varies greatly from the blue dress displayed on my desktop computer. One looks much more like a turquoise blue than the other.
While doing this research, I found one of my favorite looks for Alicia & Steven’s Wedding at the Knot. The chocolate brown strapless dresses are tied with simple aqua blue sashes. The flower girl dresses matched the ivory color of the wedding gown, but they had brown sashes that coordinated perfectly with the bridesmaid dresses. The color combination and style is gorgeous in my opinion.
The great thing about brown bridesmaid dresses is that they tend to give you more color options for flowers than aqua blue dresses. That said, both colors look fantastic as you can see in the photograph below. Pink and coral colored flower arrangements tend to look the best with this color combination.
