When planning your wedding, don’t forget to plan out your wedding day attire as well. Of course your bridal gown is one of the most important aspects of your entire day! Whether you want to be a princess bride or an elegant style icon on your wedding day, the gown will help convey your wedding theme.
Besides your gown, you may want a veil or tiara, gloves, a garter, appropriate footwear and bridal jewelry for your ceremony. Depending on what time your ceremony starts, you may want a fun bride t-shirt (like the one pictured here) for early morning errands. You’ll also want something special to wear while your hair and make-up are being done, make sure the neckline isn’t tight so it will be easy to slip out of the shirt without mussing up your ‘do.
Many brides are opting to wear a reception gown – one that is a bit lighter and more fun for dancing. These gowns are usually white or ivory, some have splashes of color to coordinate with the bridesmaids’ dresses. If you are leaving for your honeymoon the same night, have a comfortable traveling ensemble at the ready.
If the shoes for your wedding ceremony aren’t very comfortable, you will most likely slip them off for dancing. If you don’t want to dance in stocking feet, have a comfortable pair of dancing shoes standing by. Tuck them into your wedding day tote along with spare nylons, make-up touch up bag, and emergency wedding day supplies.
