Summer Wedding Hairstyles for the Blushing Bride

There are many ways to wear your hair every day of the year, but when it comes to one of the most important days of your life, the decision can be slightly more difficult to make.  If you are getting ready for your wedding- consider these hairstyle ideas.

Perhaps the first and most important decision to make is whether you hair will be worn up or down.  There is an obvious advantage to wearing your hair up for a summer wedding as there's less chance of sweat.  However, locks that are left to flow in the breeze can make for gorgeous photos and video.  If you prefer one look to the other, then the decision is easy.  However, if you are on the fence, then think about the place you are getting married.  If you are going to be in a church, or any other inside venue- especially one that does not feature air conditioning- then you run the risk of excess heat and zero breeze.  It might be best to avoid the hair on your neck sensation.  Outdoor weddings leave a little more room for interpretation.  Unless it is going to be a very windy day, during which a down ‘do might be tossed and tangles excessively, wearing your hair down might make for the best looking you.

Many women opt for curls on their wedding day.  They are the epitome of feminine beauty.  Whether falling free from the twisted up style, or simply hanging free, curls are undeniably gorgeous and glamorous.  However, for some women, the straight look is simply superior; less mess, fewer tangles, and a clean and finished sophistication.

For those who have opted for the up ‘do, there is another decision to be made.  Should the hair be held tightly in place, or be provided a little room to roam as the day goes on.  Beautiful locks of hair falling free can provide a very natural beauty for a blushing bride, but for others, it simply makes more sense to have the ultra clean appeal of a tight ponytail, or well-held up style.  Beware that those ‘dos intended to be absolute perfection will show the effects of a long day a bit more than those left for free and natural interpretation.

Another consideration for those who have opted for a tied-back hairstyle is whether it should be half up, or all up.  Half up styles provide the loose look of a down ‘do, with many of the possibilities and glamour offered by an up ‘do.  Another great thing about halfway hairstyles is that they provide a lot of options for hair accessories that fully down hairstyles do not.  Side clips, head bands, and even flower wreaths can easily be worked into these looks providing an extra look of sophistication, angelic, or natural grace to your wedding.

Whatever decision you make, it will be perfect for you.  It is your day, and your hairdo will certainly hold true to who you are and who you want to be as you journey through your life together with your husband.
