Today's #RealWedding was sent to us by Happy Zebra Photography, the photographer from Greg and Jacqui's beautiful marina wedding. The event was held on Cape Cod at the Nauticus Marina in Osterville, Massachusetts (near Boston) on a gorgeous summer day in June. The weather was just perfect, you couldn't have asked for anything better on their wedding day!
The day started off like any other as the bride and groom got ready with their closest friends and family members by their side. The women shared time laughing together and sipping prosecco, while the men shared stories and laughter and maybe a little bit of scotch as well.
After they were all ready, the bridesmaids took the trolley over to the Chapel where the ceremony would take place. But what about the groomsmen? What were they up to?
The chapel was gorgeous in structure and history as the two prepared for their big moment. It didn't need much decoration other than this, as it was already beautiful!
After the ceremony, guests headed to the marina to celebrate with an outdoor wedding reception. The bridal party managed to sneak in some great photos during the cocktail hour though using the great scenery and backdrops they had at the marina.
Also at the reception, the couple offered a little 'cigar bar' for guests. It included cigars and personalized matchbox favors for guests to enjoy. They also set out various sizes and colors of flip flops for guests to use for the dancing portion of the evening which they loved! And it was very fitting for their marina wedding theme.
And as if they needed another favor to send home with guests, they also set out homemade Italian edibles that included Limoncello and Pizzelles! They both look beyond delicious and definitely brought in a little bit of Italy.
The couple had a fun version of a photo booth at their wedding but instead it was just a Polaroid camera with which guests could take a photo of themselves or each other and pin it to a board or take it home with them! It was a very fun and neat idea.
The wedding cake was a stunning 4-tier classic cake that featured elegant frosting curls on the sides, along with a pretty aqua blue ribbon. On top was a cake topper that said, "Eat Cake" and a little puppy holding a sign with the couple's names and wedding date!
Doesn't it look delicious? Yum! Then to kick off the night of fun and celebration, the couple took the dance floor for their first dance. It was simply beautiful.
The night went off without a hitch as guests enjoyed the music and dancing along with celebrating with the couple. It was such a lovely end to a magnificent day.
Congratulations to Greg and Jacqui on their nuptials! We wish you both the very best in your happily ever after!
