What are some cheap Indian Wedding Favors?

We've seen a lot of cheap Indian wedding favor ideas and frankly, the two cheapest are: food and elephant candle favors. For food wedding favors, usually mixed nuts in favor boxes are a cheap and delightful way to give away high-end nuts, Mithai and Namkeen that guests would not otherwise purchase for othemselves.  If you have the time, you could attach a tag that explains why the nuts hold some sort of significance for you.  Of course, giving away burfi is a very common idea as well, and the favor boxes will go well.

If you're having a destination wedding, or just lookng for a cheap wedding favor, the elephant candle favor is great.  There are modern and original designs for you to consider.  They come prepackaged in gift wrapping so theey makee for agreat wedding gifts.  Unfortunately, there isn't much in the way of personalization. Those will be more expensive items.

Where can I buy Wholesale Indian Wedding Favors?

There are only a two credible wholesalers, Cassiani Designs and Kate Aspen.   However, these are only available to legitimate resellers.  To buy wholesale, choose a reputable online shop like Wedding Favors Unlimited who specializes in buying in bulk and offering bulk pricing.  While it might seem like a great idea, I don't recommend buying from Amazon or Ebay or even Alibaba.  For one, the pricing usually comes out to be more expensive. And we've found that those sites may also be selling fakes that will come to you tarnished, or worse, break when your wedding guests take the favors home.

What are some unique Indian Wedding Favor Ideas?

Some unique and creative Indian Wedding Favor Ideas are trinket dishes, candle favors and glass coasters.  For more over-the-top ideas, we recommend giving Indian-themed photo frames, cake servers and even consider ice cream scoops (especially if you're serving white chocolate ice cream!)  I like those ideas because they are the perfect combination of traditional design with modern functionality. What I've found over the years is that you're often forced to sacrifice between a traditional indian wedding theme and a more modern, American design approach.  These Indian Wedding Favor Ideas bring the Indian design to practical favors that I've found both Indians and Americans will appreciate.

Where can I find Indian Wedding Favors online?

You can find Indian Wedding Favors at traditional retailers like Amazon and Ebay, Wholesale Pricing at Wedding Favors Unlimited and custom designs at Kate Aspen.  I recommend the Wholesalers because they are the perfect combination of buying in bulk, especially since Indian weddings tend to be big, but also having the ability to personalize items.  Please be weary of buying wedding favors online from sites that don't have lots of product reviews or site reviews.  There's a reason no one has reviewed them.  What I've found is they often tend to be super cheap, but are actually bringing copycat items over from India and China that look terrible when we open the box.

What are practical indian wedding gifts for guests?

Great practical Indian Wedding Gifts for Guests include personalized wedding coasters, bottle stoppers and keychains.  Any and all of these can be personalized and lend a special touch to your wedding reception. And of all the Indian wedding favors ideas out there, the perfect combination of practicality and personalized are the glass coasters.  Every Indian Auntie there has a coffee table, she definitely will use the coasters.

What are typical traditional Indian Wedding Favors that are given out?

Traditionally, the wedding party has gifted expensive sarees for women along with traditional accessoreis like jewlery such as brocades or nose pins.  On some occasions, they'll give away handbags. For men and for wealthy families, Silver coins engraved with Ganesh, Lakshmi and other gods have been given away.  There are less expensive ways to give out those cohins without making them out of silver.

In some areas of india, Vermillion, ivory, marble and carved wood have been unique handicraft items that were given away.

For a more local touch, Rajasthanis have given away fabrics such as "bandhni" or "Lehriya" and Masharshtrians have given way special necklaces in their traditional THusi style.  Gujuratis have given away Torans andn metal filigren and those from Karnataka tend to stress wooden artifacts such as a Kathakli mask.

Over the years, I’ve helped Indian Brides give away hundreds of different favors. I definitely have a long list of given away hundreds of different favors. Let me know if I can help!
