Today's Real Wedding was submitted by Table7 Events with photos provided by Kimberly April Photography, and it comes just in time for Halloween! As you'll soon see, Steffanie and Mike hosted a Halloween themed wedding (inspired by Tim Burton's Nightmare Before Christmas) that was nothing short of extraordinary. And with Steffanie's passion for working in the morgue, it's not hard to see what kinds of inspiration she received.
The wedding took place at the Richard Nixon Library in Yorba Linda, California. The library and museum set the stage for some gorgeous images throughout the day. The couple chose to decorate the location with spooky decor, pumpkins, coffins, and the like.
Going along with that decor, Steff and Mike chose their wedding color palette to be black and white with cobalt blue accents. It was a stunning combination of colors that they carried throughout their day, starting with their attire and the bridal party's attire!
The bride wore a gorgeous black wedding gown with crystal accents that just shimmered, along with these lovely, sequined cobalt blue platform pumps that were totally show-stoppers!
The bridesmaids wore identical black gowns, but each one wore it with a different twist. Don't they look so neat?
The groom and groomsmen wore jet black tuxes with the cobalt blue accent color on their vests and ties. Don't the colors look wonderful together?
Now Steff and Mike really wanted to incorporate Steff's daughter, Alison, in the wedding to make their special day complete. All day long, there were creative ways that she was a big part of their day, starting with the bride reveal (where Mike got to see Alison first, and then Steff!)
And onto the ceremony!
Mike also surprised Alison with her own ring after he and Steff exchanged rings to unite them all as one big family.
Afterwards, comes the fun and games of the reception! Naturally they had to make a grand entrance suitable for a mummy... And out of a custom made, decorated coffin they came! With Alison's help of course.
After a full night of fun and dancing, the new little family departed, surrounded in love by their family and friends cheering and waving sparklers.
They then took a vintage limo to go back and relax at the Disney Grand Hotel! What more could you ask for?
We wish Steff, Mike and Alison the very best in their new life together!
