Today's #RealWedding was submitted to us by Magdalene Photography. She captured some beautiful moments to Lainee and Jeff's wedding and we are so fortunate that we're able to share them with you all today!
First, we just have to start with the proposal story though, because it's too sweet not to mention! To start the story, you'll have to know that Lainee is a total Christmas junkie. She starts playing the Christmas music on November 1st and keeps it going! On Christmas morning, Lainee found a little gift box to the ornament store under the tree to Jeff. She was so impressed that he even thought to go to the ornament store! As she opened it, she found a customize ornament that said, "Will you marry me?" When she looked up, Jeff was on his knee with a ring. Of course she said yes, and the rest is history!
Fast forward to ten months later, and we've arrived at Lainee and Jeff's wedding day! The couple's wedding was held at Lainee's family property in Appleton, Wisconsin and it was a beautiful backdrop for the couple's special day! All of the details throughout the day made for some truly great photographs, and memories.
We are head over heels in love with Lainee's wedding gown. The layers, the volume, the beaded bodice, and of course the gorgeous sweetheart neckline. It is absolutely stunning!
Before the ceremony, Jeff sent Lainee a special letter telling her how special she is to him and declaring his love for her. It was a very emotional surprise, as you can see!
Now, it's onto the ceremony! It was held outdoors on a crisp, fall day. We love all the custom decor that Lainee made to welcome guests as they arrived.
The couple had the cutest flower girl and ring bearer! The ring bearer even stopped mid-way down the aisle to bust a move, leaving his little "Uncle Jeffy, here comes your girl!" sign right behind. We can't even handle his cuteness level!
For their unity ceremony, the couple decided to take a unique approach and performed a wine ceremony. This is traditionally done after the exchanging of the rings, and it involves a white wine and a red wine. Each person pours their wine into the common cup and it symbolizes the two lives blending together as one. After the common cup is blended between the couple, they both drink to symbolize their unity.
After the ceremony, the couple snuck off to get some photos as Mr. and Mrs. and with the bridal party as well.
After the quick photo shoot, they all came back together as the bride and groom hosted a beautiful outdoor reception with more great handmade decor all around!
As wedding favors, the couple set each place setting with a personalized can coozie to remember the special day by. One side said, "eat. drink. and be married!" while the other side had the couple's name and wedding date. And of course, the coozies were made in their wedding colors!
For the guest book, they found a large wooden letter "V" to represent their last name. Each guest could then sign a little message for the couple! It's a very unique turn on the traditional guest book.
In lieu of a traditional wedding cake, the couple chose to have a variety of delicious cupcakes! Not only that, but they also offered a flavored popcorn bar for guests to have an extra little snack as well. How cute is this little set-up?
Lainee and Jeff did such a great job putting together a gorgeous wedding! We are so happy that we got to share in the special day.
We wish them the very best in their new life together!
