Today's #RealWedding was sent to us to Shandro Photo. They captured Matthew and Sarah's Canadian wedding beautifully, and there was much to capture that's for sure! There were so many small but important details throughout the day that made it extra-special. These details were fun and cute without being cheesy - a crucial element that makes a big difference!
The couple's August wedding was held at the Red Tail Landing Golf Club located in Alberta, Canada. They spent most of the morning in downtown Edmonton, taking fun photos during the town's popular Fringe Festival that was going on. Some of the attendees of the festival actually thought that Sarah and Matt were an act of the show, instead of a true wedding couple! They even received money for busking (another term for doing a public performance!) Too funny!
At their outdoor wedding ceremony, the couple gave their guests a unique wedding favor - sunglasses! They were much appreciated by guests throughout the ceremony. What a clever idea!
They wanted to make their wedding modern and whimsical, and they achieved just that! From the lawn games during cocktail hour, to the fun photo booth and open fields that the children loved running through.
At the reception, they continued the red, black and white colored theme throughout their decor. They also featured a signature cocktail which they cleverly named the "Holy Toledo Mojito", isn't that so fun?!
For dessert, they had a gorgeous three-tiered damask wedding cake with fun little characters on top portraying the couple. They also offered guests a delicious candy dessert bar which they could serve up themselves. This was a hit!
It was truly a lovely and well-coordinated day! Congratulations to the newlyweds, Matt and Sarah. We wish you a very happily ever after!
